Payments
Booking onto our Taster Sessions, Short Courses or Full Courses guarantees you a place. Payments can be made online through our automated system with a credit or debit card. We cannot accept credit/debit card details over the phone or by e-mail as this is not a secure payment method.
Payments are non refundable and non transferable.
Subscriptions
A 7-day trial is available on all subscription packages during which time you may cancel the subscription. Should you cancel at any other time, the cancellation will take effect immediately.
Cancellation
Alison Salter reserves the right to cancel any event for reasons which are beyond her control, including insufficient attendee registration making the course unviable. However, if an unforeseen cancellation is required, your event fee will be refunded in full and you will be made aware of this cancellation at least one week prior to the event.
Alison Salter can accept no further liability for costs incurred beyond the course refund itself. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out your own insurance in case of cancellation to cover travel, accommodation and such expenses beyond the course itself.
We regrettably cannot compensate for unforeseen circumstances (injury, illness, family emergency, etc.) on behalf of the participants on our courses. This is a small business and we regret that we are not able to reimburse such costs. This policy is non-negotiable.
Should you have to leave one of our courses half way through, there will be no refund made, as you have taken up a place on the course which may have denied someone else a place.
Spiritual Teaching
Please note that Alison Salter will not comment on or offer medical advice. Anything that she says at an event or 1-1 Session is intended as guidance only from a spiritual wellbeing perspective and discretion should be exercised by the participant. Please recognise that you know yourself and your mental health very intimately better than any third party. If you feel at any point that the content of a course or session is too much for your current state of mind, it is your responsibility to make this known to Alison Salter and discuss a way forward. Nothing Alison Salter says should replace advice from a qualified medical practitioner and we do recommend participants to seek therapeutic or medical advice where appropriate.
Alison Salter can accept no responsibility for accident or loss experienced by attendees while on one of her courses, retreats or events.
Code of Conduct
All retreat events are recreational-drug (and often alcohol) free. Some events may also be strictly vegetarian. Guidelines will be communicated to guests ahead of retreats to ensure you are prepared for the retreat and are aware of the rules.
We recommend strongly that if you have any pre-existing psychological conditions or a history of anxiety or depression, you may wish to consult with your doctor or mental health professional before coming on retreat to ensure that the intensity and duration of this event are right for you.
The courses and retreats can be intense but we strive always to maintain an open safe environment in which discussion of difficulty is strongly encouraged. These are times for contemplation and exploration of the teachings as they affect your inner world, and the process may evoke strong feelings which sometimes may be uncomfortable and difficult to navigate. We ask that you seek our advice should you find yourself in the midst of difficult or disturbing thoughts, emotions or physical sensations. This is entirely normal on an introspective meditative journey and is actually a sign that your work is being very effective.
We endeavour to create a safe, supportive environment for all participants. However, we are not trained therapists and can only guide participants. We should not be regarded as a substitute for therapy or be held responsible for an individual’s care during events.
We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave the retreat or session if they feel the attendee poses a risk to her/himself or other participants or is causing undue disruption.
